Frank Farry earned his B.S. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Finance, in 1995; his M.P.P. from Rutgers University in 1998, and his J.D. from Rutgers University in 2000. His professional experience includes working as an assistant township manager for the Middletown Township from 2000 to 2008 and as an attorney for Jackson, Cook, Caracapp, and Bloom since earning his law degree in 2000. Farry also volunteered as a firefighter/chief of the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company.

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Frank Farry was unopposed in the Republican primary, while Regina Kiley defeated Ritchie Webb in the Democratic primary. Farry defeated Kiley in the general election.[5][6][7]
