  • To bring back transparency to Town decision making, spending, and zoning.
  • To ensure town growth decisions are based on the Zoning Ordinance, 2040 Community Plan, Small Area Plans, and are fair, reasonable and in the interest of the citizens of Huntersville
  • To ensure Huntersville citizens feel safe and are safe. That our First Responders are fairly treated, have what they need to keep the citizens of Huntersville safe, and that they return home safely to their families at the end of their shift
Ensuring that your tax dollars are spent wisely and effectively. That your tax dollars are being spent on essential services that benefit all citizens.
Our Founding Fathers.

They put their lives and wealth on the line to create this county, and later created the Constitution of the United States. What else needs to be said.
Honesty, and transparency. I will not lie to you, and you will know why I make the decisions that I made.
To represent all the people - even those that disagree with me.
The Inauguration of John F. Kennedy and his speech "...Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country...". Those words have guided my life as a citizen.
Was working for my Dad. My Dad was a paint contractor and small business owner. He got the work and my Mom kept the books. I worked for my Dad during summers and holidays while in high school and college. I even helped him on a job when I came home on leave from the Army when I was a Captain.
It's a toss up between the first real book I read "Day of Infamy" by Walter Lord, and the "Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkien. The first because it was the first, and it set me on a life time of reading history and military history. The second because it was a vicarious experience that took me to another place and time where honor and courage mattered.
Sergeant Fury!

(Not the Captain America Sgt Fury - The real fictional character - "Sergeant Fury and His Howling Commandoes")
Yes, you only have the seat for two years. If you walk in the door with little knowledge of how your Town government works it will be a steep learning curve.

As I wrote earlier I have nearly a decade of experience working with Town Staff and Commissioners while setting on 3 different Town Advisory Boards.

I don't know everything, but I know who to ask on the Town staff if I don't. More Importantly they know me.
A knowledge of Zoning, and remembering that it's not your money your spending -- it's the taxpayers. That said I will approaching the spending of your tax dollars like I approach spending my own money - "Want" does not mean "Need."
You are the people's representative setting the priorities of the Town staff to ensure the people are receiving the best essential services they can get.
The one I am not aware of that I will accomplish tomorrow.
