I am a native Texan. A father, and a concerned citizen. I have faithfully served in the United States Navy as a Damage Controlman. I feel the current government is not serving its constituents and many Texans are disadvantaged because of this. I would like to create a better Texas for my community and my family. I aim to achieve this through strong legislation that strengthens and restores public education. Jobs are a major concern of my campaign. I feel the current economy serves private interest. With the coming of Ai, outsourcing, and layoffs, there seems to be virtually no security for the everyday Texan. If elected, I will fight tirelessly to ensure teachers can teach without the fear of retaliation from administration. I believe every Texan has a God given right to autonomy over their own bodies. In my vision of a free Texas, no authority will Ever again force a Texan to submit to a vaccine for fear of losing their job, ability to travel or attend school. To be clear, vaccines are a miracle of modern medicine.
  • Good lasting jobs seem to be a thing of the past. Previous generations were fortunate enough to work for great American companies that provided upward mobility, pensions, health care and other benefits as a standard of employment. While some good jobs do still exist, I feel the economy is trending in a negative and borderline predatory direction that exploits workers. I aim to restore the promise that if you work hard and educate yourself, you can achieve the American dream of home ownership. I do not support a so called "gig-economy." If elected, I plan to strengthen workers rights and protections from bad business practices.
  • When I tell people the story about what happened to me during my college years, people seem to have mixed feelings about it. I understand if people want to move on and not think about the COVID pandemic. My message is, if it happened to me, it can happen to you, your children or grandchildren. My concern is as a society we are moving further away from the principles that challenged narratives and examined the data however uncomfortable. We used to ask the hard questions. Now, it seems, whoever writes the checks makes the decisions. Ask any parent, our education system can do better. Teachers are a pillar of community. If elected, I plan to draft legislation that will support or public schools and teachers.
  • As a native Texan, I lived and grew up in South Texas. I have driven all around the Lone Star State and have traveled many miles. One thing I can’t help but notice is the construction that never seems to finish. Working with a colleague of mine, I asked him what he thought about the construction in Texas? He said, “What construction?” I gave examples, when I did, he laughed and said. “I just got used it. It had been that way for so long I don’t even notice its unfinished.” For a State that is an economic powerhouse, there is no reason we cannot finish projects that serve everyday Texans.
I have a deep personal passion for education and technology. Only second to my love and patriotism for my State and Country.
