Frank Janik is a judge on the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas Domestic Relations Division in Elyria, Ohio. He was elected to the court in November 2012 to a full six-year term which commenced on January 4, 2013. He was re-elected in 2018 to a term that expires on January 3, 2025.[1][2]

Education

Janik received his undergraduate degree in English and political science from Kent State University and his J.D. from the Ohio State University.[3]

Career

Before joining the court, Janik served as an assistant prosecutor for Lorain County, a councilman for Amherst City, and worked as an attorney and arbitrator.[3]

2012 election

Janik won the Democratic primary on March 6, receiving 40.34 percent of the vote. He defeated Richard S. Ramsey in the general election on November 6, winning 58 percent of the vote.[4][5]
