Frank Labuda
Frank J. Labuda was an acting justice of the Sullivan County Supreme Court in the 3rd Judicial District of New York. He was appointed to this position in 2007. He also served as a judge of the Sullivan County Court and the Sullivan County Surrogate's Court since 1997. He was re-elected to this multi-bench in 2006 and his term ended in 2016.[1][2]
Education
Labuda attended City College of the City University of New York for his Bachelor of Arts degree and Case Western Reserve University for his J.D.[3][1]
Career
Labuda began his career as a military prosecutor for the U.S. Army. He served in this position for a brief time in 1975. From 1978 to 1992, he was a Chief Assistant District Attorney in Sullivan County, New York. His judicial career began in 1994, when he became a Mamakating Town Court Justice. He was elected to the Sullivan County Court in 1997. Ten years later, in 2007, he was appointed an acting justice of the Sullivan County Supreme Court.[1]
