Frank Maas was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He first joined the court in June of 1999 and served as chief magistrate judge for two years. Maas retired from the bench in September of 2016.[1][2][3][4]

Education

Maas received his undergraduate degree from Harpur College of the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1972. In 1976, he earned his J.D. from the New York University School of Law.[1]

Maas was appointed to the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York as a federal magistrate judge on June 1, 1999. He was re-appointed in 2007 and 2015. Judge Maas served as chief magistrate judge for two years. He retired from the bench in September of 2016.[1][3][4]
