An effort to recall Mayor Frank Rizzo occurred in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The recall did not go to a vote after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court invalidated the Philadelphia Home Rule Charter's recall provision in Citizens Com. v. Board of Elections.[1][2]
Recall supporters
The recall effort was initiated following a tax increase. A group called the Citizens Committee to Recall Rizzo organized the recall effort.[1][2]
