Frank Scott Jr.
Frank Scott Jr. is the Mayor of Little Rock in Arkansas. He assumed office on January 1, 2019. His current term ends on December 31, 2026.
Scott ran for re-election for Mayor of Little Rock in Arkansas. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Mayoral elections in Little Rock are nonpartisan. Media outlets have reported that Scott is affiliated with the Democratic Party.[1][2]
Biography
Scott received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Memphis in 2005 and an MBA in strategic management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2009. Scott worked as deputy policy director and director of intergovernmental affairs for Gov. Mike Beebe (D) from 2007 to 2012 and as an adjunct professor at Arkansas State University from 2010 to 2012. Scott was a vice president at First Security Bank in Little Rock from 2012 to 2018. He served on the Little Rock Port Authority board of directors from 2011 to 2017 and on the Arkansas State Highway Commission from 2013 to 2017.[3][4]
As of November 2022, Scott was president of the African American Mayors Association.[5]
