Recall vote
Superior Court Judge Fletcher Bowron ran against Shaw in the recall election. Bowron won the recall election with 232,686 votes. Shaw received 122,196 votes.[2]
Recall supporters
Clifford Clinton led the recall effort. Recall organizers alleged that Shaw was corrupt.[1]
