Frank Woodbeck
Frank Woodbeck is a former Nevada Director of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation. He served in this role from October 3, 2011 until April 2014, when he resigned to take a position with the Nevada System of Higher Education.[1].[2]
Biography
Woodbeck spent 36 years in the communications industry. He began as a sales executive for an AM Top 40 station in Buffalo, working his way up to sales manager and then President and General Manager. He moved to Las Vegas in 2000, where he launched two radio stations.
Woodbeck's public sector career began when he was appointed by Gov. Jim Gibbons to the Nevada Commission on Economic Development (NCED). He then served as the Director of Las Vegas Operations and Workforce Initiatives with the NCED. In October 2011 he took over as head of the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR).[3]
