I'm Franklin Cornielle, and I'm running for state representative as a Democrat in Michigan's 88th district. As a devoted father and husband, I understand how important the values of family and community are. I am a dedicated public servant and patriot, as well as a proud union member. I'm a military man, and have served five deployments overseas and been injured in combat. In my work as a corrections officer, I strive to uphold the values of justice, accountability, and law enforcement. I've dedicated years of my life to public service and know first-hand the importance of integrity, compassion, and setting aside differences to work together for the common good. I'm running for office because I am fed up with political gridlock, and I want to set aside politics as usual and get things done for my community.
  • I'm not a career politician, but I'm running for office because politics as usual is failing us. I want to set aside political gridlock and get things done by serving and uplifting my community.
  • My opponent has failed to protect, serve, and work for the people he represents. He rubs elbows with wealthy elites, protests alongside domestic terrorists, and fails to safegard our drinking water. I want to rectify his failures, by first and foremost working for and protecting the people.
  • I'll put the needs of the families and children of this district first
Education:

Protecting our schools, giving our kids the best education possible, and standing by our teachers and education professionals.

Healthcare:
Ensuring that healthcare is affordable and accessible to all.

Clean Water:
Protecting our drinking water from harmful chemicals that threaten the health of families, and preserving our Great Lakes.

Economy:
Jumpstarting our economy by cutting taxes for small businesses to generate jobs and investing in our infrastructure. Cutting taxes for families and working people and ensuring that wealthy elites pay their fair share.

Criminal Justice Reform:

I work as a corrections officer and know from first-hand experience the importance of accountability and reform in our criminal justice systems.
