Fred C. Amman, III is a judge of the 4th Judicial District, Elec. Sec. 2, Division E. He was elected without opposition in early February of 2010 and was sworn in on March 19, 2010.[1][2] He was re-elected in 2014 for a term beginning on January 1, 2015, and expiring on December 31, 2020.[3][4]

As an unopposed candidate, he was automatically re-elected without appearing on the ballot. [4]

Education

Amman received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University and his J.D. from the Paul M. Herbert School of Law at Louisiana State University.[5]

Career

Amman spent 32 years practicing law before he was elected to the Monroe City Court in 2007. He also served as a Monroe City Court judge pro tempore from March through December of 2000. He was elected to the district court in 2010.[5]
