Fred Berry
Fred Berry was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 46 of the Missouri House of Representatives.
Campaign themes
Berry's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]
Personal Freedom
- Excerpt: "I will not support any legislation that is not supported by either the state or federal constitution, and I will work tirelessly either to nullify or divert unconstitutional mandates from the federal government, or meaningless legislation from our own General Assembly."
Jobs
- Excerpt: "We need to blow open a window of economic opportunity for all business entrepreneurs and end the dubious practice of government picking "winners and losers." By doing so, we will grow our economy, create jobs, and prosper."
Education
- Excerpt: "I want policy control for education to be done by the boards of school districts with input from teachers, parents, and students. As a member of the General Assembly, I will resist all attempts to violate that principle. I support teacher pay because we cannot attract and keep good teachers if teacher compensation falls below national compensation norms."
