General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 37.6 percent of the vote. He competed against David Young.

Nelson received his undergraduate degree from Hamilton College and his J.D. degree from Harvard Law School.[2]
Career
Nelson serves as a senior advisor and as a director of major litigation for Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine. He previously served as a judge for the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas from 2003 to 2009.[2]
