Fred Rife
Fred Rife is the former interim Wyoming Department of Audit Director. He was appointed by Gov. Mark Gordon (R) on July 22, 2020, to replace Jeffrey C. Vogel.[1] He left office on August 11, 2021, when Gov. Gordon announced the appointment of Justin Chavez.[2]
Education
Rife earned a bachelor's degree from the U.S. Naval Academy.[1]
Biography
At the time of his appointment, Rife had worked at the Department of Audit since 2005, most recently as Administrator of the Administration Division. He previously served as a bank examiner and as deputy banking commissioner. He has also worked as a commercial lender and banker in the private sector and has served in the United States Marine Corps.[1]
