Fred Von Canon’s life story is one that is rooted in hard work, determination, and an unwavering commitment to conservative principles. Growing up in poverty, he learned the value of hard work from an early age. It wasn’t until he enlisted in the military that he owned his first toothbrush. Despite facing numerous challenges, Fred refused to let his circumstances define him. Instead, he relied on his faith in God and his unrelenting work ethic to forge his own path.

Fred’s journey to success began when he built a successful business from scratch. Through his dedication and hard work, he was able to turn his vision into a reality. But Fred’s entrepreneurial spirit didn’t stop there. He went on to build a successful barbecue restaurant, which quickly became a local favorite.

Despite his many successes, Fred’s life has not been without its challenges. In fact, these experiences taught him the value of hard work, discipline, and sacrifice – lessons that would serve him well throughout his life.

Through it all, Fred remained committed to his conservative principles. He firmly believes that the government’s role should be limited, and that individuals should be free to pursue their own dreams and ambitions. He has dedicated his life to serving others, and his leadership style is centered around his values and beliefs.

Today, Fred is recognized as a veteran, businessman, family man, and value-centered servant leader.

  • Secure our Southern Border
  • Cut spending, balance the budget, restore fiscal responsibility and transparency.
  • Defend the Judeo-Christian values on which America was founded.
- National Security: Securing our Southern Border

- Economy: curb out of control inflation, balance the budget, stop cut spending.
I look up to Ronald Reagan. President Reagan led with integrity and was a conservative, principled, patriot. He also had the willingness to stand up to the press and the left.
To best understand my political philosophy, I would recommend reading the Bible and the United States Constitution. My beliefs are deeply rooted in my faith. Additionally, as a United States Navy Veteran, I swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. I look forward to once again serving our great nation and having the Bible and the Constitution as my guide.
Honesty, integrity, and the willingness to do what’s right (even if it’s not popular) are important characteristics when choosing who will be our representative in Congress.

While some politicians make decisions based on lobbyists, the media, and the political winds, my decisions are derived from my faith and values.
The core responsibilities of a member of Congress are to serve and protect their constituents both on the floor of the House of Representatives, as well as helping with countless constituent service issues. In Congress, I will continue to be grounded in the issues of North Carolina and not become engulfed in the Washington DC bubble.
I am a firm believer in term limits. When our nation was founded, the government was not setup for people to spend their entire lives in government. I believe that our elected leaders should serve for a time and then come back to their state or their district to live under the laws they passed while in office.
House Freedom Fund, NC Values Coalition, Riley Gaines, Lindsay LiCausi and Gadi Adelman (Leaders of Back the Blue NC), John Bradford (President of the Human Coalition)
Government should be accountable to the people, not the other way around. Congress must be held accountable for the way they choose to spend taxpayer dollars. I believe there should be full fiscal transparency in Washington.
