Fred M. Winner (1912-2003) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. He was nominated by President Richard Nixon on December 8, 1970, and served until August 1, 1984.[1] Winner died on January 22, 2003.

Judicial nominations and appointments

District of Colorado

Winner was nominated by President Richard Nixon on December 8, 1970, to a new seat created by 84 Stat. 294. Winner was confirmed by the Senate on December 16, 1970, and received commission two days later. He served as chief judge from 1976 until he assumed senior status on April 8, 1982. He retired on August 1, 1984.[1] Winner was succeeded in this position by Judge John Porfilio.
