Fredrick Dande
Fredrick Dande was a candidate for at-large representative on the Cherry Hill Public Schools school board in New Jersey. Dande was defeated in the at-large general election on November 7, 2017.
Dande was a Democratic candidate for District 6 of the New Jersey General Assembly. He lost the primary election on June 6, 2017.
Dande was also a candidate for the Cherry Hill school board in 2016 and 2015. He ran unsuccessfully in both general elections.
Biography
Dande's professional experience includes working as an adjunct professor and IT manager. He earned his M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, his M.S. in management of technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and his B.S. in engineering technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.[1]

Three of the nine seats on the Cherry Hill Public Schools school board in New Jersey were up for at-large general election on November 7, 2017. Incumbents Eric Goodwin, Carol Matlack, and Lisa Saidel won their bids for re-election, defeating former candidate Fredrick Dande and newcomer Sally Tong.[2]

General election
Elections for the New Jersey General Assembly took place in 2017. All 80 seats were up for election. State assembly members are elected to two-year terms. The general election took place on November 7, 2017. A primary election took place on June 6, 2017. The filing deadline for the primary election was April 3, 2017.[4] Legislative districts in the New Jersey General Assembly are multi-member districts, with two representatives in each district. In Democratic and Republican primary elections, the top two candidates move forward to the general election, and the top two candidates in the general election are declared the winners.[5] Incumbent Louis Greenwald (D) and incumbent Pamela Lampitt (D) defeated David Moy (R), Winston Extavour (R), and Monica Sohler (American Solidarity Party) in the New Jersey General Assembly District 6 general election.[6][7]

2016
Three of the nine seats on the Cherry Hill Public Schools school board were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. Incumbent Jane Scarpellino, along with Ruth Schultz and Edward Wang, defeated incumbent Steve Robbins, Frederick Dande, Joseph Gerace, and Ian Morris to win the three seats up for election. Incumbent Elliott Roth originially filed to run for re-election but withdrew from the race before the election.[11]

2015
Four seats on the Cherry Hill Public Schools school board were up for general election on November 3, 2015. The seats of at-large incumbents Kathryn Bay Judge, J. Barry Dickinson, and Colleen Horiates were on the ballot. There was also an unexpired one-year term on the ballot.[13]
Judge and Dickinson won re-election, while Ken Tomlinson Jr. joined the board. They defeated challenger Fredrick Dande for three three-year terms. Jane Scarpellino won election to the one-year term without opposition. Horiates did not file for re-election.[14]
