Frederick Daugherty
Frederick Alvin Daugherty (1914-2006) was a federal judge on the Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma.
Daugherty received a recess appointment simultaneously to all three Oklahoma District Courts from President John F. Kennedy on October 5, 1961, to a new seat created by 75 Stat. 80; he was nominated on January 15, 1962, confirmed by the Senate on February 7, 1962, and received his commission on February 17th. He served as chief judge of the Eastern District from 1973-1975, and also of the Western District from 1972 until he assumed senior status on January 12, 1982. He served until his death on April 7, 2006.[1] Daugherty was succeeded in this position by David L. Russell.
