Frederick H. Weisberg
Frederick H. Weisberg is a former judge of senior status for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He was originally appointed to the court by President Jimmy Carter in 1977. He was reappointed by President George H.W. Bush and President George W. Bush.[1]
Weisberg retired from the court on March 22, 2018.[2]
Education
Weisberg received an undergraduate degree from Cornell University in 1965 and a J.D. from the University of Michigan in 1968. Later, Weisberg earned an LL.M. in Urban Law from NYU Law School.[1]
Career
Weisberg began his legal career with the Office of Economic Opportunity lawyers' program. In 1970, he became a staff attorney with the Public Defender Service (PDS) of Washington, D.C. In 1974, Weisberg became Chief of the Appellate Division of PDS. He joined the Superior Court in 1977.[1]
