I've served on the Granby Board of Finance for 14 years, working across the aisle to build forward-looking, equitable budgets for the town. I'm also a small business owner, having built Granby Family Eye Care from nothing over the past 20 years, so I know how to address the challenges of managing budgets and personnel. I am interested in helping CT provide a comprehensive Public Option Health Insurance plan.
  • Comprehensive, Affordable Public option healthcare
  • Hold the energy monopoly, Eversource, accountable for high rates and poor service.
  • Help CT safely navigate this Pandemic.
Public Health and Healthcare and creating Green Energy Jobs.
My father is and has been a great influence. He used the GI bill to put himself through night school (college) and got his masters in computer science. His work ethic really rubbed off on me.

Care for individuals and the ability to understand science and use facts derived from science to build better communities.
The shooting of John Lennon, I was 10, I really liked the Beatles and the news of his shooting was very upsetting.
Stock person at a drugstore. About 1 year.
Just finished Hamilton by Ron Chernow. A very long book, but very well written and sourced book on an amazing the amazing intellect of Alexander Hamilton.
I would also recommend "Questioning the Millennium: A Rationalist's Guide to a Precisely Arbitrary Countdown" by Stephen Jay Gould. One of his shortest books but a clear explanation of the dangers mixing Fundamentalism with other myths.
Imagine by John Lennon. Just watched an ABC Date Line episode about the last few days of his life.
I have a pre-existing health condition, that has most likely made me more conservative in my business decisions.
To some degree. I feel the public should be more engaged and in doing so maybe we would have better participation in our democracy.
Recovering from the economic implications of the pandemic and growing new manufacturing jobs.
