Freeland & Hemlock School District Levy Renewals, 2 (August 2010)

Two School District Levy Renewal measures were on the August 3, 2010 ballot in the school districts of Freeland and Hemlock which are in Saginaw County.

Both measures were approved

The Hemlock school measure sought to increase the current tax set on non residential property to $18.06 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to help with the operational expenses in the school district area.[1]
The Freeland Measure:

  • YES 1,483 (77.12%) Approveda
  • NO 440 (22.88%)

The Hemlock Measure:

  • YES 1,270 (68.65%) Approveda
  • NO 580 (31.35%)[2]
