Lancaster was a Republican candidate for District 27 of the California State Assembly in 2018. He lost the general election on November 6, 2018. Lancaster also ran unsuccessfuly for the same seat in 2014.
Lancaster was a 2016 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 19th Congressional District of California.[1]

Elections for the California State Assembly took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Incumbent Nora Campos (D) and G. Burt Lancaster (R) were unopposed in the blanket primary. Campos defeated Lancaster in the general election.[4][5][6]
