G. Daniel Reeves
George Daniel Reeves was a judge of Judicial Circuit 18 in Shelby County, Alabama.[1][2] Reeves began service on the bench in 1998. He announced in June 2015 that he would likely retire from the bench in early 2016.[3] Reeves retired from the bench on February 29, 2016.[4]
Education
Reeves received his undergraduate degrees from Florida College and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He then received his law degree from the Birmingham School of Law.[3]
Career
Reeves was admitted to the practice of law on September 28, 1984.[2] He became the clerk of the circuit court for Shelby County in 1988 and he served in this position until he was elected circuit judge in 1998.[3]

2010

Reeves was up for re-election to the Judicial Circuit 18 in 2010. He defeated Ferris S. Ritchey in the Republican primary with 72 percent of the vote.[5] He was re-elected after running unopposed in the general election, earning 100 percent of the vote.[6]
