G. Edward Welmaker
G. Edward Welmaker is a former circuit court judge for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in South Carolina.[1] He joined the court on February 27, 2004, and retired in 2015.[2][3]
Education
Welmaker received both his undergraduate degree and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina.[2]
Career
Before he became a judge, Welmaker worked as an attorney in private practice in Pickens, South Carolina from 1974 until his election to the court in 2004. He also previously served as a judge advocate general in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1974.[2]
