G. O'Neal Hamilton
G. O'Neal Hamilton is a former member of the South Carolina Public Service Commission (PSC), representing the commission's seventh district. He served from 2004 to 2020. He was first appointed to the commission in 2004. In 2004, he was elected vice chairman. In 2006 and 2013, he was elected chairman.[1]
Biography
Prior to joining the commission, Hamilton was an agency manager for the Farm Bureau. In addition to completing his associate degree, Hamilton pursued a number of opportunities in continuing education including the following:
- Financial and Insurance Designations, L.U.T.C.F
- Continuing Education, Financial and Insurance, 20 years
- Annual Regulatory Studies Program (Camp NARUC) at Michigan State University, 2004
- Administrative Law: Fair Hearing Course of the National Judicial College at the University of Nevada, 2004[1]

The South Carolina General Assembly appointed Hamilton to the South Carolina Public Service Commission on March 3, 2004.[1]
Appointments
2013
The South Carolina General Assembly re-appointed Hamilton to a third term on the South Carolina Public Service Commission on May 1, 2013. His term expired in 2012 but was extended due to redistricting.[2]
2008
The South Carolina General Assembly re-appointed Hamilton to the South Carolina Public Service Commission in 2008.[1]
2004
The South Carolina General Assembly appointed Hamilton to the South Carolina Public Service Commission on March 3, 2004.[3]
