Born and raised in the David Douglas school district, I hold fond memories from my early involvement with the MESD which helped me build my leadership and professional skills. Still, my work on a national level has helped me recognize that in order to support all students in achieving their dreams, we must provide a wide variety of opportunities for them to grow.

I am eager to share what I’ve learned in my unique leadership experiences to improve the quality of our public education for all students. My demonstrated skills in complex communication, organizational management, and critical thinking will help MESD provide more robust and comprehensive professional development opportunities so that all students are supported in achieving their dreams.

  • Support a wider range of opportunities for students to develop professionally

  • Increase community outreach to develop a stronger relationship between taxpayers and government programs
  • Ensure parents retain their rights to educate their children in a manner they deem appropriate
I believe that our learners today are the leaders of tomorrow.

In education, we have a very narrow definition of success - but real world experience shows us that people can contribute positively to their community in a wide variety of ways. It is about time we recognize this by supporting more diverse choices for professional development. By supporting all students in their growth, we can ensure that our community will prosper for generations to come.
