Career
Gabriela Domenzain began her career in civil rights organizations and Hispanic media. At the National Council of La Raza, a Hispanic civil rights group, she was a "media advisor and advance specialist to the former President and CEO Raul Yzaguirre."[3] Domenzain then earned her Master's degree from New York University before moving to Univision, where she covered immigration reform in 2007.[3]

As director of Hispanic press for Barack Obama's 2012 presidential campaign, Domenzain oversaw campaign outreach to Hispanic voters. Obama was particularly successful in this demographic when compared to his competitor Mitt Romney (R): "Not only did Obama trounce Romney among Latinos 71 to 27 percent, but a record 11.2 million Latinos turned out to vote — making up 10 percent of the electorate for the first time ever."[4] On the campaign, Domenzain "combined her background in policy, media and politics by developing and implementing a 'first of its kind' metrics-based, bilingual communications plan, which was, in part, credited for delivering a decisive share of the Hispanic vote."[5]
In August 2013, Domenzain became a principal at The Raben Group in Washington, D.C.[6] She left the group in January 2015.[2]
