She is a wife of a union worker, parent advocate, a marketing sales professional, and a lifetime public servant. She wants to serve as our State Representative of House District 88 because she recognizes the need for revitalizing opportunities in our community. We deserve leadership that serves our district equitably and protects the interest of those unable to protect themselves.
Her passion for speaking up for those that are unable to speak for themselves prompted her to accept a position as a Marketing Sales Director at a major entertainment holding company in metro Atlanta. Throughout her career, she managed millions of dollars to successfully create job opportunities, increase minimal wages and offer medical benefits to hourly wage workers. Her track record of organizing political movements and influencing policy changes in DeKalb is essential for driving protections and opportunities to District 88.
She is an active member in the NCBW Decatur-DeKalb Chapter, Inc., DeKalb Section NCNW, Junior League of DeKalb, National Women’s Empowerment Ministry and the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce.
She holds a Master of Science degree in Communications from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Print Journalism and Communication Studies from Troy University.- Small Business Protections: It is important that we support small business owners and streamline the process for sustainability.
- Public Safety: It is critical that we support the health and safety of local communities by appropriating statewide grants, regulating gun ownership and increasing mental health and substance abuse awareness.
- Criminal Justice Reform: Real strategies that address reform will save money in the state budget, promote higher education as a path to career success for students and allow GA to emerge as the economic hub it has the potential to be.
Based on the concerns of my neighbors, my team and I have identified key initiatives for a brighter future. Together we will revitalize opportunity in District 88 prioritizing improving public safety, expanding criminal justice reform, implementing protections for small businesses and alleviating underemployment.
