Garfield School District 302 Tax Levy Replacement Propositions, 2 (February 2013)
Two Garfield School District 302 Tax Levy Replacement propositions were approved on the February 12, 2013 election ballot in Whitman County, which is in Washington.
The first proposition authorized the Garfield School District to impose a two-year replacement property tax levy of $235,000 and $240,000 respectively in order to fund general maintenance and operations of the District. The estimated rate for this tax is 3.77 mills ($3.85 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for the first year and 3.85 mills ($3.85 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for the second year.
The second proposition authorized the Garfield School District to impose a replacement property tax levy of $25,000 per year for two years in order to fund the Capital Projects Fund of the District. The estimated annual rate for this tax is 0.40 mill ($0.40 per $1,000 of assessed valuation).[1]
