Career
Garindan was a Kubaz male who operates as an informant in the Mos Eisley spaceport. Karindan was born on the planet of Kubindi.[2] He has served as an informant to the Galactic Empire. Garindan was hired by the Empire to locate two droids, an astromech and a protocol droid. He later discovered a secret meeting between Obi-Wan Kenobi and other associates near Docking Bay 94. Kenobi was wanted by the Imperial forces for treason against the Empire. Reports surfaced that Kenobi attempted to secure transport to Alderaan to meet with at least one member of the Organa family, the royal family of Alderaan; that meeting was pre-empted by the Death Star weapons system test on Alderaan ordered by Grand Moff Tarkin.
According to a report on Garindan:[3]

When something seems as though it would be of interest to his Imperial employers, Garindan contacts them, under the assumption he will receive a fee for his efforts...Though for the most part Garindan just turns in small time crooks, smugglers, spice dealers, and low level Rebel agents. [4] |
