An affidavit seeking the recall of Mancieri and Murray was first filed with the board of canvassers on March 12, 2014. Recall proponents needed to collect signatures equaling at least 10 percent of registered voters in order to trigger a recall election.[1]
On May 12, 2014, the deadline for submitting the signatures required to move the recall effort forward, the committee responsible for organizing the effort announced that they had fallen short of their goal and that the recall would not go to a vote.[2]
