Garson's Biggest Victories for the People


As an assistant attorney general, Garson has won victories that have upheld Illinois's gun laws against 2nd amendment challenges, kept women safe from domestic violence, cyberstalking and revenge porn, and protected kids from abuse and child pornography


Gun Violence


In People v. Thompson, Garson won the victory at the Illinois Supreme Court that ensured Illinois's gun laws survived Second Amendment scrutiny, keeping unlicensed guns off the streets and out of the hands of criminals.


Protecting Women


Garson's victories at the Illinois Supreme Court have helped protect women from domestic abuse, cyberstalking, and revenge porn.


Prosecuting Child Abusers


Garson's work has made it possible to continue prosecuting those who make and share child sexual abuse materials, even as modern technology allows them to morph images of children into pornographic images.
