Gary Baugh was an at-large member of the Moreno Valley Unified Board of Education in California.[1] Baugh was appointed to the board in 2013 and elected to a one-year term in November 2013. He did not file to run for re-election in 2018. Baugh previously served on the board from 1998 to 2002.[2]

Baugh has a bachelor's degree in English and secondary education from Brigham Young University, a master's degree in English from the University of Denver and an education specialist degree in education administration from Troy State University. He served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, retiring as a lieutenant colonel in 1989. Baugh then worked as a human resources manager, risk manager and assistant to the city manager for the City of Moreno Valley.[2]

The election in Moreno Valley Unified featured three seats up for general election on November 4, 2014. There was no primary election.

Three at-large incumbents, Cleveland Johnson, Jesus M. Holguin and Gary Baugh, were up for re-election. They ran against and defeated challenger Delorise Anderson.

Funding

Baugh reported $4,018.43 in contributions and $4,663.19 in expenditures to the Riverside County Registrar of Voters. In addition to his reported $3,388.61 cash balance, that left him with $3,192.85 cash on hand as of September 30, 2014.[3]

Baugh was endorsed by the Riverside Sheriffs' Association PAC.[4]
