|- Graduated from the University of Wyoming. - Entered the Air Force and became a pilot and flight instructor. Second tour was with the 89th MAW, where I was an instructor in a T-39 Sabreliner and few senior officers and members of Congress around the US and Canada. - Flew for United Airlines for 2 years, was furloughed for 4 and recalled to fly the next 24. - While furloughed, did a tour with the Navy out of Roosevelt Roads Puerto Rico doing embassy support, drug interdiction, search and rescue, and special missions. - In 1989 we bought a hardware store with my parents in Douglas, two years later bought one in Glenrock. - My wife and I bought a building in Wheatland in 2002 and started the Wheatland Ace Hardware there. - It is now time to turn my effort to returning the State Senate to a more conservative, common sense approach to better serve the citizens of District 6.
-- I took an oath in both the Air Force and Navy to defend the Constitution. "That oath has no expiration date." And it needs defending.
- Wyoming has tremendous natural resources and we need to be using them for the benefit of the State and its citizens. Green energy only benefits the rich and the companies that do the initial installation. At this point they are not cost effective. The government pays out more money than they produce and some point the companies seem to go away and we are left with an eyesore which becomes landfill.
- Property rights and taxation. The use of imminent domain should only be used as a last resort in extreme circumstances. Increasing the tax revenue isn't one of them. Property valuations have gone out of sight and people that have been in the same house for years can no longer afford the taxes. There have been two proposals that held promise one didn't get enough signatures from the citizens. I think do to "misinformation". I believe the governor vetoed the other one. We have to fix this problem.
