2017

In a submission to Ballotpedia, Bouchard said that he "wants to bring common business sense, ethics, and honesty to a troubled City."[2]

His campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Mayor John Lee has Illegally and unethically hired personal friends, who lack the qualifications to do important and critical City Jobs including The City Manager and Assistant City Manager.

When I take Office they will be replaced with qualified people who know how to run a city effectivley

John Lee has had no control over powerful Unions which are inflating the price of our City Government
THIS CITY IS BEING RUN FOR THE BENEFIT OF UNIONS NOT THE TAX PAYERS!

BECAUSE OF LITTLE OR NO OVERSIGHT AND WASTEFUL SPENDING ON PET PROJECTS, THAT DO NOTHING FOR THE CITISENS OF NORTH LAS VEGAS AND ARE STEALING MONEY THAT COULD BE USED FOR BETTER PARKS, BETTER LIBRARIES, FIXING STREETS, CLEANING UP THE CITY AND PUTTING MORE POLICE ON OUR STREETS

Lower rates and taxes
I WANT TO KEEP TAXES AND OTHER CITY FEES LOW OR EVEN LOWER THEM WHERE POSSIBLE, IF JOHN LEE CONTIUES TO SPEND MONEY THE CITY DOES NOT HAVE, PROPERTY TAXES WILL GO UP, WHILE CITY SERVICES ARE CUT.

Hire Local Citizens for City Jobs
CURRENTLY OVER 85% OF THE PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR THE CITY OF NORTH LAS VEGAS DO NOT LIVE IN NORTH LAS VEGAS! I WANT PEOPLE WHO OWN HOMES AND BUSINESSES AND HAVE TIES TO THE COMMUNITY TO WORK FOR US, THE PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THIS CITY!

Improve Our City's Schools
CURRENTLY THE CITY OF NORTH LAS VEGAS IS DOING NOTHING TO IMPACT OUR SCHOOLS. OUR SCHOOLS AND OUR CHILDREN ARE TOO IMPORTANT TO LET CLARK COUNTY DO WHAT THEY WANT. I WILL APPOINT A MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO ATTEND EVERY SCHOOLBOARD MEETING AND DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO MAKE OUR SCHOOLS THE BEST IN THE VALLEY

Rid Our City of Eye Sores
HOP SCOTCH DEVELOPMENT, CODE VIOLATIONS, AND GARBAGE, HAVE CREATED EYE SORES ALL OVER THE CITY WHICH LOWERS PROPERTY VALUES FOR EVERYONE, MY PET PROJECT IS GOING TO DO WHAT EVER I CAN TO RID THE CITY OF ANY THING THAT DIMINISHES YOUR PROPERTY VALUES.[4]
