Gary Farmer (Democratic Party) was a member of the Florida State Senate, representing District 34. He assumed office on November 8, 2016. He left office on November 8, 2022.

Farmer (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Florida State Senate to represent District 34. He won in the general election on November 6, 2018.

Farmer was elected state Senate minority leader in November 2020.[1] On April 28, 2021, Farmer resigned as state Senate minority leader after a vote of no confidence.[2]


Biography

Gary Farmer was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He received his B.S. in history from Florida State University in 1986, and went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1991. Farmer's professional experience includes being an attorney and founding partner of Farmer, Jaffe, Weissing, Edwards, Fistos, and Lehrman, P.L. He has been a member of the Florida Bar Evidence Committee, president of the Florida Justice Association, and was Board Certified by Appellate Practice from 1999 to 2004.[3]
