I am a practicing attorney with 42 years of experience. I've been to court on average once a day every day.

I recognize the United States Constitution as the foundation of our republic and I respect and will uphold the Constitution that I swore to when I was admitted to the bar of the State of Michigan, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. I've been married for 40 years. My wife and I have three amazing and successful daughters I am an immigrant who followed all of the rules for entry into the United States and in obtaining my citizenship. I appreciate what true choice is regarding "reproductive rights:" My birth mother gave me life and put me up for adoption. I was raised by loving parents who were grateful for the opportunity to teach, encourage, and give me a faithful foundation. I was raised as a Roman Catholic and attend mass regularly. I've been a lector at my church for over 25 years and am actively involved in parish activities. I have volunteered for over twenty years as a softball coach for my children's elementary school, the Detroit Police Athletic League, and the Dearborn Baseball League.

I've been a member of the Dearborn Kiwanis Club for 30 years, and I am a cohost of a cable access television show sponsored by our club - Kiwanitalk, which is the longest-running cable access program in the world.
  • Because the Constitution is the foundation of our government I firmly believe in supporting and defending it as an originalist. The wisdom of the founders who created our Republic was torn early visionary.
  • Responsibility and self-reliance are essential to our individual lives and continuation of our way of life. The government has a limited role in controlling our way of life, our morals and our finances.
  • Our country and our state cannot sustain the burden of illegal immigration, the deterioration of our economy and lack of fiscal responsibility and leadership
Economy, over-regulation, and nanny state interference.
I respect and look up to all members of the military, especially those who experienced combat. In particular, my father was a Spitfire Pilot in the RCAF during World War II, He only talked about his service a few times, but the way he related true life and death made an indelible impression on me.
Be a responsible steward of our way of life by being economically realistic and frugal and respecting the boundaries established by the United States and Michigan Constitutions.
A more secure and prosperous community for my family and the people of our state and country.
The first historical event I recall was President Kennedy's assassination. I was 11 years old and living in Australia. We got the news on Saturday morning. My father had heard the report on the radio, and I will never forget his reaction and how saddened he was.
When I was 15, I was the lifeguard at an apartment complex. When I was 16, I was the summer janitor at a factory - my job was to sweep the floors and clean the toilets.
Moby Dick. The narrative of life at sea and the obsession of Ahab incented me to travel and be wary of crazy people.
Captain Nemo from "20,000 leagues under the sea."
Mutual respect and recognition of the separation of powers between the executive and legislative branches.
Not so much of a joke as a line from a movie.
"Don't worry; I have a plan," Billy Murray's character says in the movie Stripes when asked how he is going to train his fellow soldiers in a close-order drill. Harold Ramis' character responds, "Custer had a plan."
Labeling a circumstance an emergency does not justify ignoring science, precedent or rights of citizens.
Criminal Justice, Budget and Agriculture.
All connections to lobbyists and donors must be visible and in near real-time.
