|I started Tennessee Stands two years ago to equip all citizens to boldly assert the unalienable rights given to them, to pull back the curtain that obscures the back-room deals that do not benefit nor represent the people of Tennessee, and to hold their officials accountable.
I’ve had the honor of visiting with thousands of people across our state. From conversations in private homes, to addressing hundreds gathered in auditoriums, my message has always been the same: the burden is on you to self-govern.
James Monroe once said, “There is a price tag on human liberty. That price is the willingness to assume the responsibilities of being free men. Payment of this price is a personal matter with each of us.”
That is why I am running for State Senate. Because I’ve realized the burden of self-governance falls on me too.- Governments, private institutions, and employers have no right to mandate or make requirements on an individual’s medical decisions.
- Securing free and fair elections in the state of Tennessee is a task of eternal vigilance and utmost importance. Technology can never outperform the time-tested value of paper ballots, and the ability to physically count and verify the vote of every Tennessean. The solutions are simple.
- Gary wholly rejects influences like the 1619 Project and Critical Race Theory that seek to both rewrite history, seed division, and ignore the very foundations that make America the most exceptional nation on the earth. America is imperfect. And its history is imperfect and full of the failings of everyday people who worked to overcome challenges and ideologies in order to form a more perfect union. And our children need to learn these lessons.
Securing our elections.
Removing progressive agendas from our public schools.
Protecting our 2nd Amendment rights by constitutional carry and ending gun-free zones.
Reducing the intake of federal money into our state.
Criminalize abortion and secure the right to life for the unborn.
Limited functions of government.
Keep taxes low and regulations lean.
No state income tax.
End tax subsidies and corporate welfare.
Secure our borders and stop illegal immigration.
End state benefits to illegal immigrants.
