Gary Norton

Gary Norton is a judge on the Columbia-Montour County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He was elected in 2011 and his term expires in 2021.
Education
Norton earned his Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Shippensburg University with honors. He received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, with honors.[1]
Career
After admission to the bar Norton worked at the firm Derr, Pursel, Luchas & Norton. He later served at the District Attorney's office in Columbia County.[1]
2011 election
Norton won both parties' primaries on May 17. He received 49 percent in the Democratic primary and 55.1 percent of the vote in the Republican primary.[2] He cross-filed with the Democratic and Republican parties. He was elected after running unopposed in the general election November 8, 2011.[3]
