An effort to recall Mayor Gary Norton in East Cleveland, Ohio from his position was launched in March 2015.[1] The recall did not go to a vote because supporters failed to turn in enough signatures.[2] A second effort also did not go to a vote due to a lack of signatures.[3]
Recall supporters
Rodriguez is targeted for recall over spending practices and uncertainty about how money was used that was given to the Cleveland Clinic.[1]

Petitioners needed to collect 600 signatures by April 4, 2015, to move the recall forward.[1] Only 377 signatures were turned in.[2]
