Gary Pierce (Arizona)
Gary L. Pierce is a former member of the Arizona Corporation Commission. Pierce, a Republican, was first elected to the Commission in 2006 and served as Chairman from 2010 to 2012.[1] He was barred by term limits from running for a re-election in 2014.
Biography
Pierce was born in Illinois and was raised in Mesa, Arizona.[2]
Pierce taught at Mesa’s Taft Elementary School, managed dealerships for four years in Sierra Vista, moved to Yuma and became a Honda and Nissan dealer, and owned a Shell Gas Station and Budget Rent-A-Car franchise.[2]

Political career
Arizona Corporation Commission (2007-2015)
Pierce, a Republican, was first elected to the Commission in 2006 and became Chairman in 2010.[3]
Arizona House of Representatives (2001-2006)
Pierceserved in the Arizona House of Representatives from District 19 from 2001 to 2006.[2] In 2005 and 2006 he served as Majority Whip.[2]
Yuma County Board of Supervisors
Pierce was twice elected to the Yuma County Board of Supervisors.[2]

Pierce won re-election in the November 2010 election, winning the second of two seats.[4]
