“	Cut Taxes Illinois now has the highest cumulative taxes in the nation. Out-of-control property taxes are driving good people and great jobs out of Illinois and those who stay struggle to make ends meet. ‍ Our property taxes are 100% to 300% higher than the average of all other states in America; often our property taxes are much higher than our mortgages. Middle-class and working families struggle more than ever to own a home. We can rebuild Illinois by making it affordable for our citizens to live here, that’s why we need a tax fighter like Gary Rabine as our Governor. ‍ Here’s what Gary will do to make Illinois competitive again. No tax increases. Crush property taxes to compete with the average property taxes in America. This alone would save 50-70% on annual taxes and raise the value of your property substantially fast. Incentivize investments in home ownership and commercial property ownership in struggling neighborhoods to spark growth. Public Safety It’s no secret that we have a crime problem in many parts of Illinois. Unlike Governor Pritzker, who has implemented policies making it impossible for law enforcement to do their job, Gary Rabine will work WITH law enforcement to make sure they have the resources they need to put an end to the rising crime. ‍ Gary has heard stories from so many Chicagoans about how they’re scared to walk to the store or to go out at night. These stories are one of the biggest reasons he’s running for Governor. We can’t be a great state if our citizens are afraid to leave their own homes, restoring public safety will be a top priority. Bring Back Jobs Illinois is losing tens of thousands of jobs every year thanks to JB Pritzker’s anti-business agenda. It’s unacceptable, and it must change. Those lost jobs are not just numbers, they are family members, friends and neighbors who are facing hard times. These numbers mean less opportunities in the future for our kids and grandkids. ‍ Gary has been a job creator in Illinois for the majority of his life, and as Governor he will lead us back on the path to prosperity once again. We can trust Gary Rabine to rebuild the Illinois American Dream so that we can all live our best lives here at home. ‍ As Governor, Gary Rabine will assemble a team of the best economic minds to put together an Illinois Economic Recovery plan to ensure we can bring back over 50,000 jobs annually. Improve Education Education is the key to a successful future for Illinois. Gary Rabine understands that education is the best way we can empower our children. Every kid in Illinois deserves the best education, regardless of where they come from. These kids will be competing in a global economy for the rest of their lives, we have to give them a great start. We should have the best, but the current system is failing our children. ‍ When Gary founded his nonprofit called True Mentors, it was because he understood the need for young people in Illinois to have mentors that can help lead them to success. Inspiring people to be the best they can be is the key to leadership. ‍ Gary is the product of a public high school and no college education. By learning multiple skilled trades in high school, he was able to bypass college and start his career at 18 in the paving and landscaping business. Education is paramount, but success is not always based on how one is educated. Mentorship and skilled jobs training is a much-needed area of education that can help kick-start career success while limiting the amount of college debt. ‍ As Governor, Gary Rabine will assemble the leading minds in education and put together a series of common-sense reforms that will make our schools stronger and ensure that our children have the resources they need to pursue the Illinois American Dream. Build Infrastructure Illinois once had the best infrastructure in the country. Thanks to JB Pritzker, many of our infrastructure budgets in 2020 didn’t even get spent as our infrastructure continues to crumble. ‍ Gary Rabine will lead the charge to rebuild our roads and bridges across Illinois, creating thousands of good-paying jobs for our citizens. We will invest in our waterways to make sure that our infrastructure is ready for the challenges of the 21st century. ‍ Gary Rabine is the forward-thinking leader Illinois needs and will make sure that our state has the resources necessary to tackle future challenges. Second Amendment Gary Rabine is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, which is really your right to self-defense. He will be a strong advocate for gun rights in Springfield, and will make sure that firearm education is continued throughout Illinois. ‍ He will increase enforcement of existing gun laws to prevent criminals from getting guns and will work to punish the law breakers, not law-abiding citizens. Pro-Life Gary is Catholic and pro-life. He adopted his son, Nik, which was one of the greatest blessings of his life and led him to become an advocate for adoption. He understands that he will never understand the decisions women have to make in an unplanned pregnancy, which has led him to be a supporter of life centers around Illinois that give men and women free resources to help them during and after pregnancy.	”
