Gary Scott earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida in 2020 and an associate degree from Valencia College in 2016. His professional experience includes serving in the U.S. Army since 2007.[1]

I'm a husband, a father of four, a 30 year resident of Osceola, a 13 year active Army combat Veteran, and a UCF alumni. I'm instinctually a provider and protector. I refuse to sit back and watch politicians sell off my town to the highest bidder. I'm running to prevent corruption. I'm running to provide a better future for not only my children but all children of Florida. I have three overseas tours (Afghanistan, Guatanamo Bay, Cuba, Kuawait). My strengths lie in my struggles. Unlike most of our elected officials I was born into poverty and have worked hard for everything I have achieved. I'm the best man to represent the people of Osceola/Polk counties because I understand them.
  • I instantly offer zero corruption and a real vpice for real citizens.
  • There are 1.6 million Veterans in the state of Florida and often their situations are misunderstood and therefore overlooked. I can bridge that gap.
  • Our future lies in the state of our children's education. We need to do a better job at preparing our children for the real world.
Too often decisions are made based on the amount of tax revenues generated but the quality of life if neglected. I want to improve our quality of life. I want to lower the state's overall budget, while protecting state employee's benefits, revamp our education system, abolish HOAs, and reform the judicial system. I want to give a voice to the common man in legislation and the 1.6 million Veterans in Florida. After high school our children are not ready for the workforce and often look for alternate means of revenue which could be criminal. We need more relevant education (ie how to live, how to eat, how to drive, how to complete a 1040Z). As a father petitioning for custody, I personnaly know what it feels like to be discriminated against by the Florida court system. No family should have to waste 3 1/2 years and thousands of dollars only for a blanket judgement from a judge that doesn't fit either family's needs. There is nothing more important than time and the government stole 3 1/2 years from us.
My grandmother. She's the smartest person I know. She's extremely responsible and has taught me how to prepare for my future. Our elders are wealth of knowledge and are often overlooked for sage advice.

Politically, I follow Dan Crenshaw. He was an amatuer in politics but he didn't jump into it like AOC and make a complete fool of himself. Instead he sat back and learned the system. He documented his progress and now uses his platform to teach others how things really work in the USA. He is poised and calculated.
9/11. I was in high school in weightlifting class. I remember going to the water fountain and peaking into the coaches offices seeing the planes hit on the news. As the day went on the class sizes got smaller. I was only 1 of 10 kids at football practice and I still didn't understand what had happened.
Like most American men, my first just was in construction and in a warehouse. When I was 15 I worked two jobs part time. At 17 I left school to work full time to help pay the bills at home. I did that for 4 years until I joined the Army.
