Gary E. Wenell was a senior judge of the Third District of Iowa. He was first appointed to this court in 1989 and he assumed senior status on March 4, 2010. He retired from being a senior judge in 2016.

Education

Wenell graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1967 with a bachelor's degree. He then earned his law degree from the University of Iowa in 1970.

Career

Prior to his judicial appointment, Wenell worked as a private practice lawyer.
