No more hungry children, no more blood sucking medical bills, and no more career politicians standing back and doing nothing. Our country is in a debt crisis. Our youth have been asked to foot a bill they'll never be able to repay. Our country can only pay back its debt if our people remain financially solvent. Municipal debt, medical debt, and student debt must all be addressed if we want to even have a shot of having a future for our children.
  • We need to Municipalize. Local governments have the most impact on our everyday lives, but receive the least amount of tax dollars. The United States owes state and local governments over 1 trillion dollars, as much as we owe China. We can repay this debt and provide opportunities to communities who have been disenfranchised.
  • Bring back the Civilian Conservation Corp. The CCC was the most popular program in FDR's new deal. It Provided jobs, experience, and helped reverse environmental destruction brought on by the Dust Bowl. By restoring ecosystems across the United States, we can create new soil, collect more water, and improve the economy. Workers in the CCC will receive a deferment on their student loans, and will receive education credits to help pay their student debt.
  • Our healthcare system needs to be fixed. As someone with Muscular Dystrophy, I've spent my whole life in and out of hospitals. The system is broken. No one should be forced into medical debt just for being born. I support a single payer healthcare system, and price regulation. The United States spend the most on healthcare out of any country in the entire world, yet has the worst health outcomes out of any OECD country. The state of healthcare in our country in unacceptable
I have a vision for the future. The people in congress can't see the forests for the trees. Passing patchwork bills that only buy them more time in office. We will future proof the economy, creating new industry with East Texas as its center. Using our vast stores of natural gas to allow the use of Hydrogen as a transition fuel. Fields of hemp for use as sustainable building material and batteries. Returning the flow of our rivers, and generating hydro electric energy. Stewarding our god given natural resources, and creating a new economy that will work for everyone, with local governments returning to their rightful place as the economic engines of our country.
