Johnson ran in the 2012 election for Massachusetts House of Representatives Twenty-Fifth Middlesex District. She ran against Lesley Rebecca Phillips and Marjorie Decker in the Democratic primary on September 6, and was defeated by Decker. Incumbent Alice Wolf did not run for re-election.[1][2][3]
