Gayle Vogel
Gayle Nelson Vogel was a judge on the Iowa Court of Appeals. She was appointed to the court by Governor Terry Branstad (R) on April 25, 1996.[1][2][3] Vogel retired from the court on July 1, 2019.[4]
Vogel was elected chief judge of the court on January 19, 2019. She served in this position until her retirement on July 1.[5]
Education
Vogel received her undergraduate degree from Rockford College, graduating cum laude in 1971. She earned her J.D. from Drake University Law School, graduating with honors and Order of the Coif in 1983.[1]
Career
Vogel was in private practice in Knoxville until her appointment to the Iowa Court of Appeals in 1996.[1]
