Gene Abdallah is a former Republican member of the South Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 10 from 2010 to 2012.

Abdallah also served in the South Dakota State House from 2000 to 2002. He went on to serve as a member of the South Dakota State Senate from 2003 to 2011. Abdallah did not run for re-election to his Senate seat in 2010 -- he had reached his term limit.[1] Instead, he ran for the District 10 House seat.

Biography

Abdallah has worked as a Marshal and in the highway patrol.

Abdallah ran in the 2012 election for South Dakota State Senate District 6. Abdallah was defeated by Ernie Otten Jr. in the Republican primary on June 5. No Democratic candidates filed for election. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]

Term-limited in the senate, Abdallah won election in to the South Dakota House of Representatives, District 10. Roger Hunt (R) also won election in District 10.[4]

On Nov. 4, 2008, Abdallah won re-election to the 10th District Seat in the South Dakota State Senate, defeating opponent Clara Saeni Hart (D).[5]

Abdallah raised $32,795 for his campaign while Hart raised $2,322.[6]
