Gene Maddox
Gene Maddox is a former Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 172 from 2005 to 2013. He did not seek re-election in 2012
Biography
Maddox's professional experience includes working as a veterinarian and serving on the Georgia State Veterinary Board.
He is a member of the American Veterinary Medicine Association, Georgia Cattlemen's Association, Georgia Veterinary Medicine Association Board of Directors, Grady County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Grady County Future Farmer's of America Club, Grady County Livestock Association and is President of the South Georgia Veterinary Medicine Association.[1]

Maddox ran for re-election to the 172nd District seat in 2010. He did not have any opposition in the July 20 primary. Maddox defeated Marjean Boyd (D) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[2]

In 2008, Maddox was re-elected to the Georgia House of Representatives District 172. Maddox ran unopposed and finished with 12,610 votes.[3] Maddox raised $8,850 for his campaign fund.[4]
